Faith Over Fear Letting Go of Anxiety
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
When was the last time you stayed up all night thinking and worrying about your future or just worrying? When was the last time your mind was so cluttered you couldn't remember the next thing that you set out to do? When was the last time you took the wrong exit simply because you were thinking and worrying about something or a certain situation? When was the last time you replayed a certain situation in your head until you literally got a headache or your anxiety was so bad you had to self medicate? I think you know exactly where I am going with this right? Trust me I have been there and thinking and worrying doesn’t change anything, however it does make us physically and mentally sick and have self doubt. Anxiety is very real and does exist now more than ever. God does offer a better way! Peace through faith. Faith over Fear! Let’s talk about it.

One of the biggest problems with fear and anxiety is that it literally steals your joy, peace and clarity in the matter of seconds. It causes us to focus on our problem and the situation at hand and it gets the best of us. It also causes us to focus on what is instead of focusing on God’s promises and that is so hard to do when fear and anxiety is looking at you dead in your face. This was my reality and it has happened to me and it took me a while to really understand and comprehend what was really going on. And it happened within moments. I felt like I was dying and drowning all at the same time. Sometimes Life is hard, family is hard, your career is hard and when you are trying to survive you literally get into survival mode which is fight or flight
Philippians 4:6-7 teaches us that prayer is the remedy to worry. When we pray and seek God, he listens and he replaces our anxiety for his peace and love. The bible promises that God is close to the Broken Hearted. Psalms 34:18 (NLT) The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Pray daily and make it a habit to surrender all of your problems to God. Memorize scripture and write out Philippians 4:6-7 and meditate on it. Write it over and over again in your journal. You can even put it in your notes in your cellphone or on a sticky note so you can always see it as a reminder.
Practice gratitude and remember how God has always been there for you in the past and this time is now different. God Loves you!
Write down 2 things or more if you want to share and surrender them in prayer to God.
Hugs, Love, and Blessings Tamara
